Carbide/Heading Dies

Carbide/Heading Dies

These are usually used in both cold and hot forging processes for shaping fasteners, screws, and bolts.

These dies have an outer casing made of Hot Die Steel and an insert made of Tungsten Carbide. The carbide insert comes in different grades and the inserts can be fitted using methods like cold pressing, shrink fitting, or taper fitting.

Carbide Heading Dies are designed for various shapes, including plain hole, extrusion, hexagonal, trilobular, and special fastener profiles. They are used for manufacturing full-thread and half-thread screws and bolts made from mild steel, stainless steel, and high-tensile alloy steels.
